What is prebiotic soda?
Our prebiotic soda is a sparkling jamboree of real juice, botanical extracts, and a prebiotic blend of chicory root fiber and apple cider vinegar.
How is your soda different from regular soda?
Jamu offers a deliciously unique alternative to traditional carbonates while delivering gut-friendly and wellness benefits akin to kombucha—without the funk, sweeteners or calories. Best enjoyed chilled from the can or over ice.
I’m vegan, can I drink your sodas?
Absolutely you can. All our drinks are plant based, as in - real fruit juice, botanical extracts and flavourings, plant fibre and apple cider vinegar. The only thing that isn’t plant based is the sparkling water and vitamin C.
What Are Natural Flavourings?
The term "natural flavourings" can be intriguing and may raise suspicion, especially regarding regulations. In the UK, "natural" means that flavourings must be 100% derived from natural sources. If labeled by its source, like "natural lemon flavoring," at least 95% must come from lemons, with the remaining 5% also coming from a natural, plant-based source. So when we choose to use a natural flavour like mint, it's because we’re committed to crafting the best-tasting sodas, and these natural flavourings play a key role in enhancing and balancing the overall profile.
How many calories and why is there sugar content?
We tried making sodas without any sugar or calories but as hard as we tried we never thought the flavour was good enough. Instead we use apple and lemon juice to add a little natural sweetness, and apple cider vinegar to balance everything out. This means our drinks remain a low sugar option with fewer calories. But don’t sweat it too much, our drinks have the same amount of calories as half an apple!
So how much naturally occurring sugar does your soda contain?
5.3g per can. That’s low, it’s the equivalent to a third of an apple!
Why don’t you use natural (no calorie) sweeteners like stevia in your drinks?
We tried, many times! And eventually we had to throw in the towel because in all honesty it just tastes weird. Not gonna lie. We’re all about embracing balance, that means healthy all-natural ingredients (including a small amount of naturally occurring sugar) with great flavour, and fizz.
Are your drinks HFSS and School Compliant?
Yes!
Can I drink your soda every day?
Of course, we do! It’s our favourite afternoon pick-me-up, evening tipple, or late night replenisher. Plus, just two cans deliver the recommended daily prebiotic benefits, with calories equivalent to just one apple. Cheers to that!
Do your sodas have any known allergens?
Our sodas are made without any common allergens, and we consistently monitor government updates regarding allergen safety. However, since we use natural botanical extracts, there is a slight chance that some individuals may have sensitivities. We always recommend that customers review the ingredient list on the back of each can to ensure it aligns with their dietary needs and preferences.
